Hy-Lok USA, Inc. bleed valves can be used on instrument fluid handling products, such as manifolds or gauge/root valves, in order to vent signal line pressure to the atmosphere before disassembling of an instrument or to facilitate in the calibration of control devices. End connection options include male NPT and SAE from 1/8″ to 1/2″.
Bleed valves are available in stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy 400. The knurled cap is not separable from the valve body for safety. A simple quarter (1/4) turn from finger tight gives leak-free closure. Proper tightening with a wrench secures closure to the desired pressure rate with sufficient make-ups. Purge valves are available in stainless steel, carbon steel, brass. Both bleed and purge valves are tested with nitrogen at 1000 psi(69 bar) to a max leak rate of 0.1 SCCM.
